Charities for the Year

	Operation Christmas, A project of Samaritan's Purse
	Franklin Graham. son of Billy Graham, has collected shoe boxes filled with gifts for underprivileged children who are suffering because of war, natural disaster, poverty, illness, or neglect for the past 16 years. They delivered 8 million boxes last year to 100countries. www.samaritanspurse.org

	Pop Tabs, the money raised from recycling the pull tabs is placed in the Family Fund, which helps the House do special things for the families who stay with them.

Greetings from the East;

We hope you and your families had a wonderful holiday season. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Sharon Kress, Diana Kriedman, and Jerry Katzenmeyer for helping take down the Christmas decorations.

On Feb. 13^th at 7:00pm there will be a District 2 Heart Dance at the Cuyahoga Falls Masonic Center. All proceeds will benefit the Worthy Grand Matron’s charity, the American Heart Association. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Please join us for an evening of fellowship and music.

Prior to our Feb. 17^th meeting we will be having a Box Supper at 6:30pm. Anyone wishing to join us for dinner should bring a dinner in a box. If 2 people come together, they should bring 2 boxes. Dinners will be traded with others in attendance. (In other words you won’t be eating the dinner you bring). Those boxes festively decorated for Valentine’s Day will be judged for creativity, beauty, and humor. Prizes will be awarded.
