“Therefore, as God’s chosen people,

humility, gentleness, and patience.” – |
| Welcome to
Corinthian Chapter #393 Order of the Eastern Star. On July 21,
1916, Corinthian Chapter was instituted and then chartered on October
25, 1916, with Nellie Bryson as Worthy Matron and Harley Stoneburner as Worthy Patron.
The Order of the
Eastern Star is the largest Fraternal Organization for both women and men in the
world. It is an organization open to any Master Mason in good standing or his
wife, widow, mother, mother-in-law, step-mother, sister, step-sister,
half-sister, sister-in-law, daughter, legally adopted daughter, daughter-in-law,
step-daughter, niece, great-niece, grandmother, granddaughter,
great-granddaughter, or majority Rainbow or Job’s Daughters girls active for 3
years, at least 18 years of age.
Eastern Star is a social
order comprised of persons with spiritual values but it is not a religion. Its
appeal rests in the true beauty of the refreshing and character-building lessons
that are so sincerely portrayed in its ritualistic work. A deep fraternal bond
exists between its members. It is the wholesome relationship of sisterly and
brotherly love brought about through high principles exemplified in our lives
which make us near and dear to each other.
While this is an Order
composed of people of deep spiritual convictions, it is open to all faiths,
except no faith. The personal welfare of our members is vital to all of
those in the Eastern Star and it is considered a privilege to help another
member whenever we can.

Sister, Brothers, Friends,
Romans, Countrymen....
Lend me your ears:
I come to praise Corinthian
Chapter 393 as they prepare to embark on their 5th
annual “Dinner With The Stars” event on Sunday, February 26,
2012, from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the MCL in the Kingsdale
Shopping Center.
You all are truly invited as are
non-members to come and partake of the incredible meal (as
testified to at the 2011 Dinner). Set your palate for a feast
of roast beef, mashed potatoes, broccoli casserole, buttered
corn, Parker House rolls, chocolate cream pie and Strawberry
Dream Cake.
Join the rollicking festivities
by playing the games, winning door prizes, and then try your
luck at predicting the future and selecting the winners of the
Oscars that night.
Tickets are REQUIRED and for the
mere pittance of $20 per person you can enjoy mingling with THE
STARS.
Do not forsake the opportunity to
walk the “RED CARPET”, get captured on film by the paparazzi,
and collect autographs of your favorite stars.
Stars in the past have included
Jackie Gleason, Johnny Cash, Lucille Ball, Audie Murphy, Sean
Connery, Hedda Hopper, Oct-o-Mom, Clark Gable, the Black Swan,
and a myriad of other stars too numerous to mention. (They were
there, we have pictures!!)
Contact Worthy Matron Connie
Snyder (657-6692), Conductress Donna Woody (404-4205), or any
Corinthian Member for tickets.
Come one... come all... brings
your family and friends.
