The Founder of the Church of Ohio

In 1784, John Wesley ordained Thomas Coke as a bishop of the Methodist Episcopal Church. Coke then traveled to America, where he helped to establish the Church of Ohio. The Church of Ohio grew rapidly, and by the early 1800s, it had become one of the largest denominations in the United States.
